I grew up with a mom who did everything she could to care for me and my brothers. She showed me Jesus in the way she lived—day in and day out. I knew about God. I really did. But if I’m honest, I didn’t know Him. Not deeply. Not in that way that anchors you when life falls apart.

And then, it did.

My twenties brought a crisis I never saw coming. Everything I had mapped out for my life unraveled. The relationships I trusted began to fade. My faith, which had always felt stable, suddenly felt hollow. I was disoriented, spiritually and emotionally—just… lost.

For eight years, I ran. From God. From myself. From anything that asked me to slow down and feel. I looked for something—anything—to ground me. But the truth is, I became distant. From my family, my faith, everything. And still, I couldn’t bring myself to admit how much I was hurting. Until one day, all I could do was surrender. Not because I figured it all out. But because I had nothing left.

That surrender was the beginning of a shift. Not an overnight transformation—more like a slow, sometimes awkward awakening. I read my Bible more, prayed harder, tried to check the boxes I thought would fix me. But even with all that effort, something still felt off. My head was full of truth, but my heart? It was numb. I craved a real connection with God, not just routines and rules.

Everything changed when I stopped striving and started learning to abide. It sounds simple, but it took time—and help. A coach helped me see the difference between performing for God and living with Him. Through Freedom in Christ, I began to experience what it meant to hear His voice, walk in His love, and actually feel His presence.

Healing started. Slowly at first. Past wounds began to close. My perspective shifted. And for the first time in a long time, I felt like I wasn’t just following God—I was walking with Him.

It’s not perfect now. I still have days when I feel distracted or disconnected. But the difference is, I know how to come back. Not through effort or guilt, but by returning to love. I live from a place of abiding now—not control, not fear. And that has changed everything.

That’s why I do what I do.

I want that for you too—for you to know what it feels like to walk in step with God, to hear His voice clearly, to live in the freedom and joy of His presence. Not just checking off spiritual boxes, but actually knowing Him. Deeply. Daily. For real.

If you’re hungry for more—more than religion, more than striving—I’d love to walk with you.
